KRISTI VEEBER
With a background in social work and music, becoming a librarian wasn’t really an obvious career choice for me. After I almost accidentally started working as one, though, I soon found out that it perfectly combined my different interests.
I’ve now been working at Tallinn Central Library for over nine years. The more I’ve experienced and studied different aspects of librarianship, the more I’ve come to believe that public libraries are crucial in helping people to be active, smart and creative citizens, and in building well-functioning communities. One of my passions is developing new library services – anything from lending musical instruments to new maker spaces and online services.
